Meditation Power
I want to share with you my experience of the effects of meditation power, and I hope I do it justice. Over the past weeks, no actually it’s been months. I’ve been exhausted. I have had several people in my inner circle going through significant life ”lessons,” and I’ve willingly been there to help them.
On top of that, I’ve been dealing with various health concerns over the past 9-10 months that have had a chain reaction of one thing after another.
Thankfully, my health is slowing coming back into balance.
As a result, I haven’t been sleeping, and I wasn’t enjoying and neglecting some of my routines such as meditating, & practising silence and there also was a few days that I didn’t journal.
I was just exhausted! I even found myself in the middle of one afternoon waking up. I fell asleep; I never take naps.
Ignoring My Needs
I was ignoring my needs because of all of the commotion going on around me. Think of spinning plates; I was spinning all of these plates, and as you probably know, it’s exhausting. Sometimes, when people are in need of help or a different perspective, hopefully, they have someone to be their “rock”. I’m that rock for many in my inner circle, and again, I am honoured to be available.
Unfortunately, I didn’t know when is when. I was getting texts about the latest going on, but one thing was often missing. “How are you?” “Is there anything you need?” Anyone out there who can identify as a “people pleaser” understands that the needs of others often trump the needs of ourselves, myself included. Sometimes some of us forget to ask those two questions (or something to the effect of those questions) isn’t necessarily an unthoughtful friend. He/she sometimes get too wrapped up in their own dilemma’s and forgets to take a step back and look up from their life struggles.
Look Up!
When we do look up and step back from whatever is going around us and breathe, we often will find perspective. Furthermore, those people even will be able to resolve some of their stuff. Therefore, when the “people pleasers” are connecting with their friends who are going through their thing, a different conversation will develop. The new discussion will be more around, the friend saying to the people pleaser, this is what happened, and this is what I did about it. Again, it’s all about perspective.
Back to the Point
Ok, back to the topic of why I am writing this blog post. I often write these articles with something in mind. But when I start typing, I get going on different tangents, so again, thanks for staying with me on this journey.
A few days ago, I found an old iPod. As a result, I decided to recharge it and see what I stored on it. It was so old that all it did was store music. It was like opening my time capsule. When it had a full charged, I started to scroll through the music I collected. My tastes have changed! LOL
I’m Worth It!
Besides music, I also found some sound wave meditations. I use to listen to these every night while going to sleep. I immediately downloaded those meditations to my new playlist. The next day, I wasn’t going to let the day go to waste. I selected one track to listen while in meditation and went into my home office. I set the timer, so the music stops after 30 minutes.
At first I started to focus on different situations I wanted to manifest. With some of these, I was doing great, I was clear & focused in my meditation, but on one subject, my mind would wander. When I meditate on the intentions of manifesting, I will cycle through different topics such as love, health, relationships, career, prosperity, money, travel and abundance to name a few. Because I was getting stuck with one, I decided to clear my mind and vibrate with the intention of being happy.
Promote Happiness
One thing to focus on; HAPPINESS. Can I tell you, that’s when everything in my meditation changed. It felt like I was free! Flying or at least the sense of flying was something I felt. Freedom, OMG! I was cutting all of the cords from things I was staying connected to with my stuff and what my friends were dealing with, and I was their rock.
We are conditioned, or we think we should be plate spinning or juggling 20 different balls and keep them all up in the air. Letting one plate or one ball crash to the ground is viewed as a failure. Not at all! I highly recommend dropping everything else and focus on one thing… HAPPINESS!
Getting back on Track
Also, happiness gives me hope, determination to have more joy and it also prevents me from straying away and going where I don’t need to go into with my thoughts or other people’s lives. After this weekend, I have been back to my routine of meditating on a daily basis and just focused on happiness.
As a result, I slept so soundly last night. In fact, it was the first time in months that I haven’t woken up 3-5 times during the night. The funny thing is when I woke up at 7:15 am (fortunately, today I didn’t need an alarm clock to be up at a specific time) I was exhausted! Lol, I slept so soundly I woke up in the same position that I remembered before falling asleep.
My morning routine is to take care of Cleo’s needs, fresh food and water, clean her bathroom and then make myself a coffee and look at my day of appointments and anything else I want to accomplish. Because I was groggy after waking up, I didn’t make my coffee until almost 10 am. I decided to read a book and glance out the window. The sun is shining and today has a feeling of spring is coming.
My Monday Morning
Once again, thank you for staying with me on this writing journey. I still have a bit of coffee left to drink, and I’m on my laptop typing this blog. Also, I’m even able to look out the window and be content with the beautiful sunshine. Hopefully, someone else can relate to my story. Meditation saved my life. Not in the life or death kind of way, more in the sense of calm and being in presence.
My consciousness is all about being happy. I feel powerful when I choose to be satisfied.
For you, if you want to find your power, my wish is that you see it and let it stay with you forever.
Have a super day!
Love, light & blessings,
Lewis
