Thank You for Welcoming Me Into Your Home

From Me To You, Before Anything Else

What we did in your home wasn't a one-time fix — it's a reset. This guide will help you protect it.

Thank you for opening your home to me. You felt something was off, something that was affecting you, and you trusted me to help. Replacing what wasn't wanted or needed with your own energy, so your home feels like it’s yours, so you feel happy and content in it, means the world to me.

So before anything else in this guide: thank you.

What to Expect in the Days After

The days right after a clearing can feel different, even if you can't quite put your finger on why. You might sleep a little better, or notice a room that used to feel heavy is suddenly one you want to sit in again. Some people feel it right away. Others notice it more gradually, over the days that follow, as the energy in the home continues to settle.

The work I've done also continues to improve in the weeks ahead. Depending on how much needed to be scrubbed out to bring your home back to neutral, that process takes time, and so does what comes after it. Once your home is back to a clean slate, it's your energy that fills it back in, and that part is felt gradually too.

At the end of our time together, when we talked about what I did in your home, you already felt the difference. That work continues to improve from here, even without you feeling or necessarily noticing it. The balance I brought back to your home keeps settling in, whether or not you're consciously aware of it happening.

And if nothing feels dramatically different, that's normal too. This work isn't always loud. Sometimes the clearest sign it worked is simply that the tension you'd gotten used to isn't there anymore, and you don't notice it's gone until you realize how at ease you feel.

Give your home a few section to settle into its reset. What comes next is how you help it stay that way.

Keeping Your Home's Energy Balanced

Even though homes can be cookie-cutter built, your energy is what makes your home unique. No one else's home is quite like yours, because no one else's energy is quite like yours. That's exactly why what happens next matters.

  • If you're able to, open your windows for a while after I leave and let some fresh air move through your home. Your space is full of fresh energy now, and fresh air helps that along. If that's not possible, or you'd rather hold onto the scent of the sage and palo santo a little longer, that's completely fine too.

  • If you have a salt lamp, turn it on. Energy is drawn to that kind of energy, and it helps keep things settled.

  • I'd also recommend placing black obsidian at your entry and exit points — your front door, side doors, the door into the garage, and patio doors. Put them on the sill or ledge above the door, and they don't need to be big to be mighty — small chips or stones will do the trick. It reinforces the energy there and creates a kind of protective bubble around your home. Black obsidian also acts like an energy repellent for anything unwanted, so it helps dismiss or reject energy that might try to come back in.

  • Selenite is another one I'd suggest. Place one piece in each of the four corners of your home. If you have multiple floors, they don't need to be on every floor — place them in the corners of the floor closest to the ground, whether that's your basement or your main floor. That creates another layer of protection, helping keep the good energy in and anything unwanted out.

  • If you have a green thumb, plants are a wonderful way to help preserve the energy in your home. Lavender, aloe, and snake plants are especially good, not just for purifying the air but for helping filter out anything unwanted that starts to build up.

  • Set your intentions, but keep them focused on what you want, not on what you don't. I've brought your home back to neutral, back to a clean slate, so now it's your turn to fill it with your own energy. Fill it with happy thoughts and joyful memories, and try not to bring negativity home with you, whether in what you carry through the door or what you're carrying in your mind.

  • If I suggested anything else specific while I was in your home, including any light feng shui adjustments I noticed, use that guidance as you're able to. Anything you can do to keep your space organized and balanced will help the energy last as long as possible.

  • If you're a collector of antiques or history, make sure they're cleared of energy before bringing them into your home. Energy leaves fingerprints on everything, and you don't want someone else's energy, whether they're still alive or not, coming in and upsetting the balance you now have.

  • If you tend to be a bit of a clutter bug, that can cause energy chaos and become disruptive all over again. Try to declutter as best you can and only keep what's essential. My own rule of thumb is if I haven't touched it in six months, I don't need it.

  • Contrary to what you might have read or heard, most crystals don't actually need clearing or cleansing in the moonlight or sun. What really recharges a crystal, especially with your own energy, is noticing when it starts to feel cloudy. When that happens, hold it or move it to a different area so it can find its balance again. You'll know it's ready to go back into place when you pick it up, hold it in your left hand, and get a good feeling from it. That's how you know the old energy has been taken away and it's ready to go back to work.

  • Always try to avoid holding onto conflict. A happy space reflects happy energy, and when the people living there aren't happy, the space mirrors that right back. I know life can be a lot, and there's a lot of adulting to do, but always try to bring conflict back to resolution, back toward peace and love.

  • Don't leave your home unattended for a long stretch of time, and if you notice a shift in energy that becomes noticeable, get me back in there. Life happens, situations change, moods change, and all of that affects the energy of your house and the people living in it. We can always set up another house clearing to keep the balance you're looking for.

Energy isn't static. It shifts as your life shifts, sometimes months or even a year or more down the road. Moods change, situations change, life happens, and the energy in your home follows right along with it. That's not a sign that anything went wrong the first time. It's simply how energy works.

If you start to notice that shift, that's usually your sign that it's time for a refresh. A follow-up clearing helps rebalance your home in light of whatever has changed since I was last there, so it can continue supporting you as it did the first time.

Reach out whenever that time comes, and we'll get you back on the calendar.
